And while i stood there i saw more than i can tell and understood more than i saw; for i was seeing in a sacred manor the shape of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being. And i saw the sacred hoop of my people was one of the many hoops that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the centre grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one farther. And i saw that it was holy....

The answer we as light workers Have is

To be of service

A Light worker is someone who devotes their lives to the spiritual advancement of humanity and all of creation. Whether this be through Healing, Teaching, or the bringing through of a loved one from spirit to give a message of comfort.

We Jan Marie and John have dedicated a large percentage of our lives (as have many) to learning and practicing the things we do at Raphael’s. Between us we have more than 50 years experience, we feel we could not have opened our shop without this level of knowledge and hands on experience!

We very much enjoy talking to people about Reiki, Crystals, and spirit, but to have the ability pass this knowledge on to others; to practice, and teach these things in our daily lives for us gives us a greater satisfaction

Balancing our centre of healing with raising two young children (who we hope will take Raphael’s to future generations) and further training in the healing arts leaves us little time to even switch on our computers to catch up with this website or our e-mails, so we do apologise if it takes a couple of days to reply to enquires!

We at Raphael's have a strong belief in traditional values. we have the utmost respect for the energy we are channelling, and the focus and intent we impart to our clients and students. We hold the symbols used in the advanced levels of Reiki with care and trust, and believe in the sure and steady advancement of our students. We live in a world of instant gratification, where sometimes the meaning of the Journey can be sacrificed for quick results and instant titles. Listed below is our timetable for advancement based on the teachings we were given, and our understanding of the profound power, and nature of universal life force energy.

Reiki 1: Reiki one focuses on self discovery and self Healing. There is the usual 21day Healing ajustment (3 Days for each of the seven Chakras) The entire body's energy system needs time to settle into the raising of it's vibration. This include's the Chakras, both major and minor, energy channels, and of course, the aura. This time should be spent on healing the self, and development of intuition. After a period of about six months, the student can then move on to practicing Reiki Healing on friends, family and pets, using the hand positions given by the teacher during their attunements. No charge should be requested for treatments given at Reiki level one.

(WE RECOMEND AT LEAST 6 MONTHS (PREFERABLY ONE YEAR) BEFORE ADVANCING TO REIKI LEVEL 2)

Reiki 2: During the Reiki 2 attunements three symbol,s are given with the knowledge of how to use them. Futher teachings for that level are given, distance Healing now becomes possible. Another 21 days of adjustments takes place, and the student is asked to once again practice self Healing and meditate on the symbols given. The student can then practice again for a period, and eventually set up a practice with the usual charge's to clients. Always remember though that the Reiki energy is free, its your time you are charging for.
 

(WE RECOMEND AT THE VERY LEAST A YEAR (PREFERABLY 2 YEARS) BEFORE ADVANCING TO THE MASTER TEACHER LEVEL)

Reiki 3: Master Teacher

(DO YOU REALY WANT TO BECOME A REIKI MASTER TEACHER)

With the title Master Teacher come's a great responsibility! a responsibility to your clients/students and a responsibility to the tradition, and the world wide professional Reiki community, and we are a community. The more people who practice Reiki, the stronger it becomes.
Again at Master Teacher level there is a period of adjustment, the final Reiki symbol is given, and instruction on how to attune and pass on this wonderful loving energy to your students.
 

(MASTER TEACHER LEVEL CAN BE VEIWED AS A GREATER OPPOTUNITY TO LEARN A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE OF CREATION)

Reiki Masters come in all shapes & sizes, colours & creeds, Relgious & Philosophical backgrounds. These differences are superficial and should not cloud you judgement when deciding who you want to teach you.

 

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF WHEN FACED WITH A PROSPECTIVE TEACHER
 

Do i feel a connection to this person?

Does this person inspire me?
 

Does this person have a passion for what they are talking about or are they just going through the motions!
 

What is their experience, are they open to sharing this with you or have they got something to hide?
 

What are their motives for practicing and teaching Reiki?
 

Once attuned to Reiki it is with you for life. Whether you use it or not. so it's important to choose your Reiki Teacher carefully.
