Hello!!
I have been to Rapheals so many times, I did a pyschic awareness course, Reiki 1, I went for my own Reiki treatment and I also took my dog to get some healing. Both Jan and John are truely dedicated to their work and their shop. As soon as you enter the shop you feel immediately welcomed by both the service they deliver and the atmosphere of the shop. Ive been in many different spiritual shops but I would definately regard Rapheals as the best!!
Although I am quite aware of Spirit myself, I decided to go on the psychic awareness course to go over the foundations and to learn different ways of working. Jan was absolutely brilliant. She catered for everyone in the group, she was very supportive and definately knew her stuff. I learnt so many new things that I now use in my practice and it has definately helped my spiritual growth, so thank you Jan! It was also with Jan that I did my Reiki 1, this was a subject completely new to me and I knew learning with Rapheals that I was going to be guided and well protected. And I was right. Jan is very down to earth and told us exactly what we needed to know. The day was well structured and most of all fun!!
It was only very recently that I took my dog to get some healing. He had recently hurt his back leg and was basically refusing to do anything. We managed to get him to the shop and Jan calmed him and did some healing on him. He loved it!! No word of lie, the next day he was walking a bit better but was more like his usual self. I couldnt believe it!
All I can say is thank you Jan and John for all your hard work, your passion and a wonderful service you deliver. There should be more people like you in the world!

Hello!
I wanted to leave some feedback after the Reiki treatment I had with Jan on 7 April, but can't find a 'feedback' section on your website so am sending it in an e-mail, hope this is okay?
A friend had been talking about Reiki as a close friend of hers had become a Reiki Master and was offering treatments, but as her friend lived in Luton we never seemed to be able to get together. I didn't know anything about Reiki other than it's a treatment that channels energy through the body to help release energy blocks and aid healing. The same friend, Claire, had visited your shop and when I mentioned wanting to buy some crystals suggested I visit you, and I'm so glad I did! Your shop is lovely, a welcoming, calm haven and it felt great just being there. I also discovered you offered Reiki treatments and as I was on holiday decided to treat myself and find out what it was about made an appointment with Jan.
I had no expectations because I knew nothing about what might happen, what I'd feel (if anything!) but thought that laying on a coach with someone channeling positive energy towards you can only be a good thing so figured I had nothing to lose. Jan, you instantly put me at ease with your calm, confident and friendly manner, and inspired a trust in me that you knew exactly what you were doing and I had nothing to worry about. So I took a few deep breaths, laid back and closed my eyes and instantly sank into a lovely calmness (no doubt inspired by your presence and the set-up of the room). As soon as my treatment started I experienced an incredible array of emotions and physical sensations which I admit left me feeling awed and, if I'm honest, more than a little shell shocked!! But it all felt so wonderfully positive. I'm not really sure what happened or why, only that something most definitely did! I felt as though my whole body had undergone a huge shift, to and from where I have no idea, but it felt right and as though it needed to happen. It truly was an amazing experience and I can't begin to do it justice despite really wanting to! All I know is I felt a calmness and a lightness that I've never felt before and it must have showed because when my partner came to collect me he said I 'looked different, radiant and glowing, and that I seemed to float out of the shop!' And he was being sincere. He also said it was as though my wrinkles had disappeared which I suppose was actually a compliment but somehow didn't quite feel like one!!!. When I got home I was incredibly hungry, and tired, and after filling my stomach promptly fell asleep in the chair! But this great calmness stayed with me for days and my mind keeps pondering what happened and why.
I really wanted to thank you for the wonderful, healing experience which has opened my mind to lots of possibilities of where I might go from here. I've told a couple of close friends about my experience (including Claire who starting the whole thing off) and they were so impressed they said they would call to make their own appointments so I hope they do. I will certainly be visiting you again within the next few weeks.

Healing received by Jan Marie of Raphael's Bedford
I Have two cats one called William and the other called Thomas. In January 2009 Thomas was hit by a car from behind and as a result he had to have a lot of treatment by the vet. It was necessary to put a pin in his pelvis to hold his hop joints together as the muscles that usually did this had gone into spasm and did not look as if they would repair themselves. After the operation he had to have a lot of rest but still the strength was not sufficient for him to jump up to either worktop level or up to the fences he had usually climbed. I came across an advertisement in the local paper for Raphael's which said that it was possible to obtain healing for both people and animals and Jan Marie very kindly came out to our home to give Thomas some healing. After the healing session Thomas was put on the absent healing list and gradually he started to recover. First so that he could jump to worktop level and then gradually to be able to climb the fences again. The time between the healing and the improvement was much shorter than the time after the operation when we had hoped he would be healed but found that he wasn't.
I am convinced that it was only after receiving the healing that he started to respond.
Having witnessed healing previously, i knew that it could work. I was very grateful to Jan Marie and Thomas is now running round chasing birds and anything that moves and having a whale of a time. I am so grateful for this.

R.A.T.S. - Re-homing Animal Telephone Service - is a registered Animal Welfare Charity operating in the Bedfordshire area. We depend totally on fundraising events and donations from our members and the public to carry out our work of caring for dogs, cats and small mammals who are lost, abandoned or whose owners can no longer care for them.
Aims and Objectives
Our aim is to re-home the animals in our care into loving, secure homes so they can live out the remainder of their lives happily.
Objectives
To care for and protect stray and unwanted animals and place them in good homes.
It is our policy never to have a healthy animal put to sleep. We will not put to sleep any animal unless it is certified to be incurably ill or unmanageably aggressive. Such action will only be taken by our veterinary surgeons humanely and painlessly.
